Calcareous fen are mineral-rich and nutrient-poor ecosystems characterized by a unique flora. Several Red-listed species have their habitat in these fens, highlighting the need for careful management to preserve their habitat. Key habitats also require proper management to enhance biodiversity.

Today, Initiative 1415 has been out in the field working on the project “Wild Pollinators”. The continued loss of pollinators weakens ecosystems and thus ecosystem services. When ecosystem services do not function properly, this increases the risk of disruptions to our food supply. Through this project, we preserve and enhance the habitats of wild pollinators.
