Christoffer Bonde is the CEO of Initiative 1415, a company that for the past two years has been offering companies to buy projects – both land-based and marine – that preserve and enhance biodiversity. During Biodiversity Day 2024, several companies launched their efforts to do just that. On land, Initiative 1415 has projects in both the forest and the agricultural landscapes. It involves preserving and enhancing the habitats of endangered species or habitats in general for, for example, wild pollinators. The company also sells credits to increase carbon sequestration.
