Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Certification Framework

BRUSSELS 23 September 2024:

A most interesting start to the week – We participated on site in the EU Commission workshop for the new regulation on carbon removals and carbon farming, the Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Certification Framework (CRCF).

The conclusions and recommendations from this and the other workshops will form the basis for the EU Commission’s decisions. Europe is developing a robust framework with requirements for high quality criteria, monitoring, reporting and verification. Biodiversity will have a greater role within the framework.
