Today, Initiative 1415 was in the city of Uppsala and met with the County Administrative Board, led by Governor Stefan Attefall. Municipalities, companies and organisations have signed sustainability pledges with the County Administrative Board that are all about ecosystems and biodiversity. The goal is to increase the pace of environmental work and to improve the environmental condition within Uppsala County.
At the heart of the matter are the various ecosystems that deliver the ecosystem services that we humans are completely dependent on. This means that we must preserve and enhance biodiversity, which is also the core of Initiative 1415’s activities. Through our pledge, we want to contribute to increasing the pace of the environmental work carried out in Uppsala County.
